Today Alpha 3D is the only specialist of the low cost mould which has its own test and manufacturing centre in
China
. This is a necessary condition to guarantee tools of quality and the strict respect of the budget of the customers.
We have a network of more than 20 mould makers. They belong to the network of Alpha 3D and they all have been selected on strict criterions. This network allows us to take in charge of the big projects of easy moulds as well as difficult tools (for example: double shot injection mould).
Our tools department is composed by a team with French technicians and engineers who are in charge everyday to follow and assure the quality of the tools.
Our team of Chinese project managers intervenes every day on the site of our mould makers to guarantee the respect of the specifications during the manufacturing process of the mould.
This organization allows to guarantee the deadline and to propose our customers a financial agreement for each mould.

Steel
The steels are subject to a strict quality control from the raw origin to the checking of the mould in our manufacturing department.
Each element of the mould is subject to a hardness control from the beginning at our mould maker till the final phase during the tests of the tool.
Alpha 3D calls on a laboratory specialized in the physic-chemical analyses to guarantee the properties of the steel used in the tools that we guarantee.
Thermal treatment
The thermal treatments are made in vacuum environment in accordance with the methods used in
Europe
.
Treatment of the surface
The treatments of the surface like nitriding are made in accordance with the European standards.
Chemical texture
We have the possibility to make a finishing by chemical texture in
China
. The texture is subject to strict quality controls (acid tests, test on steel sample, etc.).
Alpha 3D controls the quality of the components of the mould for each step of the manufacturing.
Mould checking
The mould checking in
China
is a specificity of Alpha 3D. During the tests in our test centre, we take down entirely the tool to do a 100% control of all the elements.
This mould checking enables us to offer a guarantee of our tools for export.
Today we make more than 350 moulds per year with a very weakly rate of bad quality.
